I
see
you smiling at me
telling me secrets
and sharing your lies
Asking about me about my day
when you never cared anyway
You're slick and stealthy
with your true intention
You're cruel and inhumane
with this new invention
Your actions are like a cancer
that eats at my soul
Your words are ignition
my fire to your coal
Your eyes are like lazers
that burn right through me
Your thoughts are like telegrams
instantly choreographed just for me
If only I'd caught on
before you
had the chance to start
cause
all the while
you were just playing the part
Watching me lose the game
you created
As I tally up all the things
you've stated
Watching as I crumble
from shock
As my heart beats like
the seconds ticking
on the clock
Leaving confirmation
that there's no retaliation
in relation
to your current patient
From a blow
so low
I don't know
how far my heart can go
before it stops
Head held low
arms out wide
and free falls
Hoping it and the earth
collide

Why hurt me

If you look long enough
if you try hard enough
you will hear the real me
you will see the real me.
Soft as a marshmellow
fragile as glass
As sensitive as burned skin
I'm willing to forget your past
but you don't care enough
you can't see
I'm so easy to brake
as naive as can be
I only wish the best for you
indirectly or directly
I don't want you hurt
no matter what you do.
But I can only take so much
of your unhumanly frosty touch
before I crack
and my glass floor of stablilty
starts to lack.
But still
I encourage you
to believe
 you can be
whoever you
dreamed you'd be.
And to strive
to be the very
best you can be
You have the world at your fingertips
just waiting to be siezed
so tell me
why
in the world
would anyone
hurt
me
?

What's Worth Your Time

Do what's right
when no one's in sight
Why live in the dark
when there's so much light
Say what you mean
mean what you say
Once your words are out there
they just don't just go away
Talk about your problems
and get it off your chest
Do what you need to do
and don't worry about the rest
Don't put off for tomorrow
what you could do today
Cause tomorrow's not garaunteed
so don't cast it away
Tell someone you love 'em
and make people smile
Make sure those around you are happy
and make 'em feel worthwhile
Pick up trash in the hallways
and help people get up
And you'll walk around with a smile
that's always lit up
Don't let your anger fester
and don't let your heart revenge
Life's too short for small problems
too short for living on a hinge
So don't tell people to leave you alone
and don't tell people you could go either way
Because you might not have chance to fix tomorrow
what you messed up today
