see
you smiling at me
telling me secrets
and sharing your lies
Asking about me about my day
when you never cared anyway
You're slick and stealthy
with your true intention
You're cruel and inhumane
with this new invention
Your actions are like a cancer
that eats at my soul
Your words are ignition
my fire to your coal
Your eyes are like lazers
that burn right through me
Your thoughts are like telegrams
instantly choreographed just for me
If only I'd caught on
before you
had the chance to start
cause
all the while
you were just playing the part
Watching me lose the game
you created
As I tally up all the things
you've stated
Watching as I crumble
from shock
As my heart beats like
the seconds ticking
on the clock
Leaving confirmation
that there's no retaliation
in relation
to your current patient
From a blow
so low
I don't know
how far my heart can go
before it stops
Head held low
arms out wide
and free falls
Hoping it and the earth
collide
