Why hurt me

If you look long enough
if you try hard enough
you will hear the real me
you will see the real me.
Soft as a marshmellow
fragile as glass
As sensitive as burned skin
I'm willing to forget your past
but you don't care enough
you can't see
I'm so easy to brake
as naive as can be
I only wish the best for you
indirectly or directly
I don't want you hurt
no matter what you do.
But I can only take so much
of your unhumanly frosty touch
before I crack
and my glass floor of stablilty
starts to lack.
But still
I encourage you
to believe
 you can be
whoever you
dreamed you'd be.
And to strive
to be the very
best you can be
You have the world at your fingertips
just waiting to be siezed
so tell me
why
in the world
would anyone
hurt
me
?
